Manna from Devon

Established in 2005, 'Manna from Devon' cooking school is run by David and Holly Jones. They teach cooking skills to small groups in a relaxed environment overlooking the beautiful River Dart in South Devon, focussing on woodfired cooking, bread making and fish cookery.

Manna from Devon

A destination for foodies

Over the past 10 years, Manna from Devon has become a leading cooking school teaching woodfired oven cooking, with students coming from all over the UK and increasingly much further afield – Australian students are a regular! Now with three woodfired cookbooks and an informative woodfired YouTube channel to their names, the school has really become a destination for foodies.

Devon’s vibrant food community is one of the things that first attracted the pair to the area, and they design each course to feature the freshest, healthiest products they can get their hands on, using local suppliers wherever possible.

“With Brixham Fish Market just five miles away, students really appreciate the amazing fish and seafood we get for our courses and we also get great local meat from our butcher and fabulous seasonal vegetables from Riverford Organics”

Holly Jones

Using the local food and working with local suppliers is one of the great joys of our work; Devon really has a remarkable amount of fantastic produce.”
