Crowdcube

"Devon is in Crowdcube's DNA,” says Luke Lang, co-founder of Europe’s biggest crowdfunding platform.

Crowdcube

Crowdcube is on a mission to fuel the next generation of businesses so they can leave their mark on the world.

We make it simple for everyday people to handpick, invest and own shares in Europe’s hottest high-growth businesses they believe in.

Since Crowdcube was founded in 2011, the company has helped more than 1,000 businesses successfully raise growth finance. Its community has grown to over 1 million members, who have collectively invested over £1billion on the platform to date.

“It’s been an incredible 10 years since Crowdcube launched from a small office in Exeter. Devon has helped shape the company, the people we employ, our values and our brand, every step of the way.”

Based in Exeter, London, Cardiff and Barcelona, the 80-strong company was named the UK’s most active investor in 2020 after it funded more businesses than any other platform, venture capital firm or angel network.

Luke adds:

“We’ve proven that you can attract top people from renowned businesses like eBay and Google, nurture exceptional local talent and disrupt national and international markets from the South West. As a proud Devonian it gives me immense pride to fly the flag for our city, county and region and help shine a spotlight on the best from the west.”

Businesses that have successfully raised funds with Crowdcube include BrewDog, Camden Town Brewery (acquired by AB INBev), Carwow, JustPark, eCar Club (acquired by Europcar), Feedr (acquired by Compass Group), Freetrade, Grind, Innis & Gunn, Mindful Chef (acquired by Nestle), Monzo, Parcel2Go, Pod Point (acquired by EDF), Revolut and Nutmeg.
